The Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellowship
The Global Perspectives Office at UCF and the Global Connections Foundation will provide an opportunity for an outstanding undergraduate (at least junior level) or graduate student from a Central Florida college or university to serve as a Global Peace Fellow for Spring 2010.
The selected student will work on a research project related to peace studies, under the direction of Global Perspectives Office staff and scholars, with the aim of producing a final paper that is worthy of publication. In addition, the Global Peace Fellow will work on projects for the Global Perspectives Office and affiliated programs.
The weekly time commitment is approximately ten hours. Participants will receive a $500.00 fellowship for the semester. Students aspiring to become Global Peace Fellows should have a minimum GPA of 3.5. A board of reviewers will evaluate applications and make selections. The deadline for the submission of applications is Friday, December 18, 2009. Two letters of reference, a one-page personal statement, a 5-10 page writing sample, an unofficial transcript copy of school grades and a resume are required.
