The India Program Fellowship
The India Program at UCF (supported by The Anil and Chitra Deshpande India Program Endowed Fund), the UCF Global Perspectives Office and The Global Connections Foundation are pleased to announce The India Program Fellowship at the University of Central Florida.
This initiative provides an opportunity for an outstanding UCF student, undergraduate (at least junior level) or graduate, to serve as an India Program Fellow for Spring 2010.
The selected student works on research projects related to India under the direction of staff and scholars from The India Program (which is housed in the UCF Political Science Department) and the Global Perspectives Office. In addition, India Program Fellows contribute to activities of the Global Perspectives Office and its affiliates.
The weekly time commitment is approximately ten hours. Participants receive a $500.00 fellowship for the semester. Students aspiring to become an India Program Fellow should have a minimum GPA of 3.5. A board of reviewers drawn from UCF and the community will evaluate applications and make selections. The deadline for the submission of applications is December 18, 2009. Two letters of reference, a one-page personal statement, a writing sample, a transcript (unofficial is acceptable) of school grades and a resume are required.
Application forms and other information are available at the Global Perspectives Office’s website, www.ucfglobalperspectives.org, via email at global@mail.ucf.edu or by calling 407-823-5126.
